I love Christmas music so much that I've written and recorded an album of Christmas music. Ten songs produced by Tony Braunagel who brings so much joyful energy to these songs, and bonus, it was so fun writing music together.  "The Boy I Met For Christmas" came to Tony in a dream. He sang the chorus and sent it to me in a text and that inspired me to complete the song.  Tony gathered the finest musicians to help with this project. We recorded at Johnny Lee Schell's Ultratone Studio with Johnny on guitar and vocals as well.  Chuck "These Boots Are Made For Walking" Berghofer plays upright bass and brings on the Christmas spirit with a beautiful solo in " I Like You Mister Claus." Jeff Paris plays piano and Hammond organ wrote "At Christmas" which is inspired from the music of New Orleans, and kicks off the album, this tune grooves! I wrote "Christmas Record" in September, it was tough to get in the mood to write a Christmas song with no snow on the ground, but this little vignette captures the mood perfectly. While writing "Lulu MagooI had a big grin on my face, that little dog is such a stinker, and she loves a party, especially cleaning up the floor!

I grew up in a musical family where I heard my mother sing in my father’s Dixieland Jazz band. At a very young age, I listened to my mother singing around the house, she was a composer, and she sang in musical theater. I loved everything about vocalizing and the music I was hearing.

Music appreciation expanded when my brother taught me how to play the guitar. He taught me: "Behind Blue Eyes," "I’m Your Captain," and "Hide Your Love Away" before gifting me three Beatles songbooks and one Ian & Sylvia songbook. He showed me how to read the chord charts in those books and I was hooked! Soon I started writing my own songs.

Music is my favorite creative outlet. It brings me joy. When I sing my songs, I am amazed at the heart connections coming from conversations after the show. I realize that we are all the same; we all share the same orchestral gamut of human experience.

Lisa’s blends her love of folk, Dixieland, musical theatre, and jazz standards into a tapestry of Blues music that is all her own. “The Norman Rockwell of songwriters with the crystal pure voice.” ~ MazzMusikaS Magazine, Belgium. Biales sings from the heart and writes playful music about the simple things in life. She weaves a down-home blues vernacular with finger-style guitar to create songs that feel like they have been around forever.
